Today the Philly Daily news posted Street and Smith's ranking of the top 25 point guards in the league.
Top 25 Points Guards

1. Gary Payton
2. STEVE FRANCIS
3. Jason Kidd
4. Steve Nash
5. Andre Miller
6. Mike Bibby
7. Stephon Marbury
8. Sam Cassell
9. Baron Davis
10. John Stockton
11. Damon Stoudamire
12. Chucky Atkins
13. Terrell Brandon
14. Darrell Armstrong
15. Alvin Williams
16. Jay Williams
17. Jason Terry
18. Jamal Tinsley
19. Jason Williams
20. Tony Parker
21. Jeff McInnis
22. Gilbert Arenas
23. Nick Van Exel (probably cause he isn't starting this year)
24. Rod Strickland
25. Kenny Anderson

It is pretty awesome that Steve is ranked so high. I personally feel that he is the best PG in the league (I'm bias to Rockets players).

I do agree for Steve's ranking, but I can't take a ranking seriously that has the should've been MVP, Jason Kidd #3, and Chuky Atkins ranked above Van Exel, Parker, and Terry.

Objective list from a Philly newspaper. Only complaint is with Atkins being ranked so highly - he should be about 5 spots lower, at least for now.

Kinda surprised Eric Snow isn't on the list, especially considering the list came out of Philly, but you can make a case for everyone on the list to be included over him.

It wasn't done by the Philly Inquirer. Street and Smith made the list and it was published in the Inquirer.

Baron Davis should be much higher than where they have him. He has very similar skills to Steve, and he has taken his team to the playoffs, something Steve hasn't done yet. (not that he is better than Steve or anything)

Davis should probably be number 4 or 5.

Even Parker should be a little bit higher than where he is now. He showed he could play at a higher level in the playoffs, and he is barely 20 years old!

I think it's a pretty good list, other than the Franchise should be listed a little bit higher. :D

I hate those stupid Spurs broadcasters. I can't wait till Steve schools Tony Pakers twice in the preseason.

You mean off of the list?

Until he at least plays he should not even be on the list.

Until Stevie decides to dedicate himself on the defensive end, he should be behind Kidd and Payton. They play a more all round game (offensive and defensive) game than Franchise.

I think Jason Kidd is over rated. He brought the Nets to the pretty much the same record as the when he was with the suns but he didn't have to play western conference teams. He also can't shoot worth a lick.

Stick Payton in the East and he would be a mvp candidate also.

It's pretty foolish to call a guy overrated when he single-handedly takes a team from the lottery to the NBA Finals...regardless of what league he plays in.

I think its hard to make the case that any player on this list is a better Point Guard than Jason Kidd.

And if any Rockets fan is ripping on Jason Kidd's shooting ability, they've got a very short memory. (3/29/01)

I know this is the wrong forum and thread but I can't help but wonder where you would stand if your family had been killed by terrorist acts that Saddam so openly supports?

It's easy to point fingers at President Bush but what are you doing to insure the safety of free people. Probably nothing but you are supporting terrorists. Nice move.
