Uh oh....the Eagles are in town. Losing, and losing badly to the Eagles for like 6 straight games makes this game interesting. They've had the Cowboys number for a while, and most of it had to do with their blitz. However, Parcells has had the team work on blitzes all season, and they line has seemed to be picking up the blitz better. That said, QC will have to make sure to get the ball to the receivers or throw the ball away, avoiding sacks. I remember reading something about a game where Beurlein (sp?) was playing with Dallas and Jimmy told him to not get sacked and he wouldn't care if he went 1-35. In the end, I think he only had 2 or 3 completions, or something like that, but only one sack. Dallas also won the game. Strange to see the QC McNabb matchup. I know if I had read that this QB was leading his team to 1st place in the NFC East and he ran the #1 offense in the NFL, I'd have told you it was McNabb, and if you told me it was QC, I would have wondered how we ended up getting Randy Moss, Marvin Harrison, and Priest Holmes. Ok...time for game stuff. Running the ball will be hard since PHI has a good run D, but they aren't so good on pass D, so we need to take advantage of our WR advantage, especially since their secondary is banged up. Maybe that would open up the run. Whalen and Witten are probably both out with a leg injury and a broken jaw (btw, Arizona linebacker Ron McKinnon had been fined $7,500 for lowering his helmet and hitting Witten on the chin in last Sunday's game). That's going to hurt the special teams some. If you didn't hear, the Cowboys released Myers and signed Tony Mcgee back. Derek Ross may finally get some playing time since he isn't on the injury report, but he may not be activated. That's about it on the Dallas side. Like I mentioned earlier, the Eagles are pretty banged up, mostly on D IIRC, though a couple of offensive players are hurting. (Runyan and Donovan are the only I can think of at the moment.) Um...that's about it I think. Only other thing I can think of is the Tex Schramm thing. I didn't really know him well, but he obviously was big enough in the Cowboys organization to warrant a Ring of Honor induction. We're also 7-2 on gamedays where Dallas inducts someone into the Ring. Just another useless stat.
GO EAGLES!!! KILL THE COWGIRLS!!! Been a Philly fan forever and I hope they win for a 7th straight vs. Dallas!!!
That was a weird play. Judging by the camera, it looks like we should still have it. edit:Yea! 1 less TO for PHI. BTW, my dad made a great observation: AB is good.
