So shouldn't PETA be going after all bulldog owners as well? I'm confused by their stance...they don't want a bulldog to be a mascot because having it as a mascot perpetuates the heart ailments because those breeds like to run around, but running can be bad for them because of the heart ailments, all the while these dogs do on the sideline is sit on bags of ice and occasionally try and attack Auburn players.
It is kind of ironic since school mascots are probably some of the most pampered, well-cared-for animals on the planet.
