PETA sends letter to Yao

Les and his wife are HUGE peta people, so who knows. Honestly, I don't think Les will make any fuss over Yao accepting the award. After all, its Yao's award to accept, not Les' or the Rockets

 

"PTI" did a humorous discussion on this on Friday. However, they did bring up that Les and his wife are big PETA backers.

 

Don't people eat cats in China?

 

I thought Les and his wife were splitsville earlier this season.

 

Yao will celebrate his ROY of the award by eating 5 plates of ribs and Shaq's newborn.

 

Not where I'm from. Yao's from Shanghai too so i highly doubt ppl around him eat that stuff. Everyone's more into KFC and Starbucks now.

 

P.S. I found that quote semi-offensive.

 

I didn't mean to offend but I watched a show a couple years ago on HBO on how eating cats in China was a delicacy. They went on later to show cats that were skinned alive the put in water to keep them tender. Pretty disturbing stuff.

 

The PETA thing's silly.

It will never cease to amaze me though how people who eat cows and chickens and pigs and turkeys are "disturbed" by people who eat cats.

Shouldn't this be in the Hangout by now?

 

Not so disturbing was the eating of cats but how they were skinned alive.

 

And I saw on Road Rules a bunch of ppl eating cow testicles and balls, and I know for a fact that it's a delicasy to a certain group of ppl in the U.S., mostly from the more backwards part of the country. But most of ppl in the U.S are into that sh*t. It's the samething with cats, Yao's from Shanghai, ppl from there for the most part aren't into that sh*t (cats). Also are u sure the program wasn't about south korea, I remember some controversy about this coming out of there a couple of months back, atleast I remember reading an article about it.

 

This'll be the last I say on the matter, lest I be disciplined for talking Hangout matters in the GARM, but if that bothers you make sure and never find out how the animals most of you eat are slaughtered. It's pretty gruesome too. Out.

just for your information, the only weird thing i know people sell in china are monkey brains(supposed to make you smarter or whatever). a lot of the weirder things they eat like monkey brains are for some kind of medical reasons or whatever. most people don't eat that crap. only people who believe in the medical reasons.

and just like america, there are mcdonalds, kfc's, and supermarkets that sell american food there. not much different from the US. yeah, but you probably think its some kind of ancient mysterious country where primitive people eat like neanderthals or whatever and believe it to be a non-capitalistic nation who is supposedly oppressed by its evil communist government as the US would have you believe.

 

yeah..let's get back to the point.. what's wrong with drinking milk?
