I saw this book at Barnes & Noble recently:

    By Michael Bradley

It got me thinking...do people actually think secret societies which supposedly rule the world are going to just freely tell their biggest secrets if they do, in fact, rule the world? Or would they, in reality, just tell what they want others to believe?

Anything you would get would just be a few minor truths mixed in with plenty of half-truths and lies, i.e. misinformation and even more likely disinformation.

Frankly, it's an insult to my intelligence to think they would do so in a book easily accessible to the public or on TV on a program on A&E and the History Channel (and I saw a show on them years ago on there that was, again, an insult to my intelligence).

Nice Clutchfans account you've got there. Be a shame if something were to happen to it...

Listen up, wise guy. You think you can stop us? We've been here since before the time of Christ. We have eyes and ears everywhere and we've got all kinds of experience dealing with those who get too nosy. A friendly suggestion - just drop it. Stop digging. Stop asking questions. Otherwise, you might find yourself in way over your head. Let's hope you're smart enough to leave well enough alone.

    Go Rockets.

I did not start this thread to even expand on subjects like that, I'm just asking logically why anyone would believe they would just come out with the info that's easily accessible to the general public.

Also, I've been on other message boards and said far more than I've ever said here. I have no interest in going to battle with forces I can't control or understand (yeah, I said it, I don't understand the ultimate big picture or hierarchy). But I do feel the need to speak out somewhere and if that right is taken away somehow then so be it.

But I won't be scared into submission like so many people (not saying that as a challenge though).

I mean, what am I supposed to do, pretend I can't see what's going on and not stand up for what's right and instead give into fear?

Fact of the matter is that I do believe the matter is I think they've won because even if people get the hint that something isn't right in the world, they have such a hard time connecting the dots that nothing will come of it. If they aren't caught by one layer of mind control and manipulation it's another, most especially religious indoctrination.

You happy Aeolus13, I said you guys won.

    Caltex2,

What makes you think the secrets are given and not taken/observed, and where do you get your secret society information from?

Well, that's possible but assuming these societies control the media (including the publishing companies), something I believe firmly, anything with too much substance would never see the light of day.

As for me I both research everywhere and also do plenty of thinking and solve logical puzzles. I'm not saying I'm always right or anything but I try to come to the most reasonable conclusion, even if it may seem far fetched to the average person.

And apparently I'm on to something because the second poster came on the offensive about my postings, posting as if he is apart of the power structure I've often talked about. Maybe it was just a warning for my own safety but, well, it's not the first time I've been warned (the last time was in real life, not a message board).

Every magic trick consists of three parts, or acts. The first part is called the pledge, the magician shows you something ordinary. The second act is called the turn, the magician takes the ordinary something and makes it into something extraordinary. But you wouldn't clap yet, because making something disappear isn't enough. You have to bring it BACK. Now you're looking for the secret. But you won't find it because of course, you're not really looking. You don't really want to work it out. You want to be fooled.

I may or may not be part of a secret society. Some of the procedures you hear about are pretty questionable - such as fasting, abstinence and colonics to detox yourself of past contaminants, but it's all for the greater good. After all - not all humans are born equal, and some have to make sacrifices to contribute to the furthering of the human race. Though we are all born sheeps, a select few are destined to become shepherds. Guiding the herd to control the chances of an uprising.

Everything you hear about them, everything you think you know by them.. is intentionally made available to you. There are no leaks and no "breakoffs" breaking non-disclosure agreements. As someone who grew up playing rugby but wanting to be a magician (I feared the social repercussions so never went through with it), I know all about the art of diversion. And that essentially is what secret societies rely on. Let me tell you - the scene from Eyes Wide Shut is not something out of a pervert's imagination. It's very real, it's very raw.

Before the IT era, the powerful members of society were predictable, similar creatures who were extremely cliquish. This culmination of power brings out something the common man cannot even fathom to imagine - and a chain of events is set into motion. A chain of events that control the ebb and flow of what every human can, and cannot do with his life. Chance included.

Only recently has the wealth of the 1% diversified to a bunch of liberal posers riding the latest new wave trending on twitter.

You think you know... but you really, have no idea.

Exactly, I know I don't know and can only make educated guesses, especially since the only secret society I'm in is a college fraternity, which really doesn't even count.

It's why I find people taking any media like what's mentioned in the OP for more than a grain of salt so funny. And FTR, I have heard before that the Eye Wide Shut scene is real-ish, granted on the internet.

I've found by and large that people who purport themselves to be in secret societies come off as a bit needy.

And in my so humble opinion, most of the people in them are just people looking for business/social connections and status, no different than college fraternities.

I didn't think the Freemasons were a secret society. In order for a society to be secret, don't you have to not know about them?

Just because a group/person is known doesn't mean their dealings can't be secret, hence the term secret society.

I'm reading war and peace and some light, for me, was shed on free masons.

They are a group who choose to live their life under a code which they find moral...with all of their rules, which I could l

    Sorry pressed early...

Continued: I could look up but ill leave you to find yourself. These ways of life are similar to Christian values and such. The part that they oppose, or at least used to was illuminati, no not the stupid hip hop shtt, the illuminati formed by a German, Adam Weishaupt. In summary he was trying to use political persuasion and governing that would force citizen into the ideals of free masonry via the regulations. This was formed in the late 1700s and was very controversial and rejected by MOST masons.

Do I believe something bigger controls? Sure there has to be some level, but I don't know enough about all this to really elaborate on the history and deeper conspiracy theories.
