At least from what I can tell. I may be missing some obscure team sport like badminton or soccer. :D

Here are the record regular-season winning streaks for the other three major pro team sports in this country:

    MLB: 21 - 1880 White Stockings
    21 - 1935 Chicago Cubs

NFL: 19 - 2007 New England Patriots (ongoing)

    NHL: 17 - 1992-93 Pittsburgh Penguins

This is FAR from being just some nice little winning streak against inferior opponents.

I beg to differ, the New England win streat is not ongoing. The lost the superbowl. Therefore their streak is dead as door knob.

This streak is not a thing one should dismiss due to lackluster competition; Hell, the Lakers (the media darlings, the pre-maturely crowned WC champs) lost to NO, a team that we have owned this season. To win 21 games in a row is mind boggling. Rick Adelman knows who to substitute when the time is right. This team believes in each other and has done something historic.

21 freaking games in a row...This feat, in this day and age, says a lot about the type of team we have.

The rest of the league should be very, very scared of us...Where we lack in inside presence, we compensate ten-fold in heart, grit and determination.

NFL is wrong I believe. The team is right. The Pats had a streak of I believe 23 over the span of two seasons (may include playoffs they did win the SB inbetween the two season).
