People don't realize how championship teams are made

Somehow i dont think Shane, Head, and Alston are as good as Fox, Fisher, Harper.......

What are you smoking? They are as good, if not better. I believe in us. You are either with the Rockets and all the manuevers they made this offseason or your against them.

Battier is clearly better than Fox..
But what fox brought to the game was his dirty defense, his annoying hair style and his ego & attitude that people cant stand. What does that has anything to do with winning a game? Try to play against someone like that... it will affect your game.

But T-Mac is no Kobe. Yao at his prime is not not as dominant as Shaq at his prime.

 

We have seen championships made here as well and this isnt the way to make it.

 

The part that really got me was "A championship team is being assembled here." I don't buy that at all. So far, our roster really hasn't been upgraded from the past 2 years. Losing Swift, Gay, and now Bogans with only Battier to show for it doesn't really equal a championship caliber team. Our roster has no real depth, not much athleticism, and I'm not sure we even have the talent to play well defensively. There are plenty of reasons why Rockets Fans are mad.

 

No! How can you question your Rockets in a time like this. Van Gundy even said "I am a war-time coach". If you question the Rockets manuevers you question the core principles of their orginization!

The Lakers won despite their supporting cast, not because of it. Mainly they won because they had Shaq in his prime, who was an absolute MONSTER. The Lakers also played both ends of the floor, instead of just defense.

 

Lakers Championship Roster:
1999-2000: Shaq, Kobe, AC Green, Ron Harper, John Sally n Brain Shaw.
2000-2001: Shaq, Kobe, Fisher, H. Grant and about the same roster as above.
2001-2002: Shaq, Kobe, Fisher, Fox, Mitch Richmond, Samaki Walker, Hunter, Horry.

Rox Current Roster: Yao, Jho, Battier, Tmac, Alston

Not much difference in role players between Lakers n Rox. Fisher is a better shooter than Alston but Alston is better passer. Battier n Fox are almost alike. Lakers had veteran PFs in Green, Sally, Grant, Walker n Foster and the Rox have JHO.

The difference is the COACH!!! I really think Rox are going more towards what Lakers did is surround Shaq n Kobe with veteran players and it worked in addition to great coaching by PJ.

If Yao dominates inside n Tmac becomes unstopable(which he can) and both stay healthy and show leadership, we can easily win championship with the current team.

If you also look at Miami Heat championship roster: Shaq, Wade, Haslem, Walker, Payton, Mourning n Williams. Most impact players were Wade n Shaq and they were surrounded by decent players n veterans.

 

Sorry. CD has no loyalty. The trades he has made over time is the reason this team is a lottery team. Do I have to name the trades? Mike James. That is a reason why he didnt pick Houston.
