With the recent SCOTUS decision, or lack thereof, PA is set to be an incredible fustercluck this cycle. the background is here.

note that several justices have already signaled that they think the State Supremes overreached:

    now, this:

so, if seems likely, the election is close, and if the segregated ballots could potentially alter the outcome, we have the possibility of SCOTUS ruling the ballots have to be thrown out, since they were received after the deadline mandated by PA law.

the best possible outcome, is that its not close, but i have the sense we're headed for a repeat of FLA/2000, although at least then we knew who won, and the courts decision did not change that.

oh, and the post office has lost ballots in a western PA county that voted strongly for Trump in 2016:

Good thing thing those are ballots sent to voters. They can still vote and have it count.

There is a 4% chance it could come down to a recount (anywhere, so likely less in PA), according to 538. Hopefully it doesn’t. If it does, the SC will rule in Trump favor and if that actually mean Biden win the count but lose the election - yea, not going to be pretty.

Lost mails were fresh (not filled) mail-in ballots sent to voters, so those voters still have opportunity to vote, and is one reason that GOP should accept the common sense deadline extension

What would have happened if the President and his administration hadn't tried to sabotage and damage the USPS? The sad part is that they have been caught lying about it to cover it up as well.

    sycophants be sycophants

attributable to a Repugnant-controlled state legislature

on the other end of the spectrum,
elections have been handled in an efficient/effective manner in Wa, Or, Ca and other. the common thread that binds them together,
their state legislatures are not Repugnant-controlled
