He is not worth what he is making.

Plus he doesn't quite fit a position of need.

    Also too injury prone.

He asked new orleans not to match. They should have listened to him.

At least the pelicans are savvy enough to wait and try to sell high, but are willing to listen to offers now.

I would take him in a second. He's a good 3pt shooter and takes most of his shots from beyond the arc plus he gets to the line at a decent click. I think he would be a good back court running mate with Harden.

He's an above average 3 point shooter. I wouldn't call him special in that department, and its been so long since he played consistently with a large enough sample size, there's really no telling how good he is anyway.

His injury history is crazy scary.

And he plays the same position as your one max player.

Even if you knew he was going to stay 100% healthy, I don't see how a GM builds a championship roster with Harden and Gordon both on the same squad given current CBA rules.

I think he would compliment Harden very well. The Rockets offense is at its best when Lin's 3pt shot is on and he may very well be getting more consistent but there is no reason for me to think that Eric Gordan's 3 will suddenly get bad when he has been good from distance his entire career.

Plus, at only 24 I would be willing to take a chance on him staying healthy. If he were 28 or something like that it would be more of a concern.

Are you willing to go to war with him as your #2 star because you will have limited capspace..... unless ......... you are willing to ship out Lin and Asik and make Gordon your PG and some how get a center.....

Wierd that Doc Rocket posts a thread with "EGO" and now he is upset in his current situation. Don't know how the hell he would fit in, but pretty spooky.

I think Josh Smith & Eric Gordon could be a good swap. :p

He's a shooting guard. Harden is a shooting guard. Could they make it work? Sure, Haden can play 2/3 and even 1 at times and Gordon could play 1 at times. But it's definitely not ideal and I don't think the way to build a championship.

Wade/Lebron have similar games but whereas Wade can play 1/2/3 and Lebron can play any spot but principally 3/4 they each have clear roles - Wade as Sg and Lebron as Sf/Pf

I'm all for getting a better PG.... I don't think Gordon solves that problem.

    Just my opinion

I'd be concerned about injury above all else though.

Eric Gordon at PG would be insanely interesting.

It could work because they both can fit the combo guard role. Gordon has good handles and could probably run the offense.

But that max contract does worry me a bit with his injury history.

I would think Harden would be at the 1.
