Except for "Smoothie King Center" they're doing everything right since rebooting the franchise. They'll be one of the top franchises in 10 years.

Smoothie King was founded in New Orleans. What's wrong with Smoothie King Center?

It sounds like a name an obese 8-year old would come up with for his toy castle, not a professional sports franchise.

Can you imagine taking in a Rockets game at the Orange Julius Center?

Sounds alot better than Smoothie King Center. And was worth alot more money (albeit fraudulently so), which gave it more clout as a flagship sponsor.

Was Corn Dog 7 not interested?

Or how about Staples Center... Staples is a store where you buy office supplies.

The same Minute Maid that is a national beverage giant owned by Coca Cola?

Yep, much more clout than strip mall linchpin Smoothie King.

    Publicly traded Staples, Inc.?

It's not A place where you buy office supplies, it's THE place where you buy office supplies.

I guess they don't care 3pts as much as we do to separate the interior and exterior with different color. Just a pelican pattern?

Holy hell, arguing over the aesthetic appeal of corporately named stadiums may be the bottom of the barrel.

It's cool. I like the Cleveland Cavs new court design better.

I lke this better. I am nt a fan of the skyline of a city on the court (altough on a jersey is even worse).

I ilke this court. But that name is indeed funny.

I like the arena design and the uniform design. heck... I even like the team name (Pelicans... shorten to Pels, similar to the Penguins shortened to Pens).

If I lived in New Orleans I'd be proudly supporting that franchise. Wish the Rockets would reignite fan interest with a redesign...
