Caught about 15 minutes of it and it doesn't hold a candle to the original 1981 HBO special. THAT was greatness.
It gets better after the 15 min mark, IMO... The 1981 show started it all, yes... I'm not sure how same or different it is from the 1981 show or the kid's saturday morning show but this new broadway show was based on the kid's show with a modern times twist to it.. I simply love the hell out of it and I will buy or download the 1981 show pretty soon...
Yeah I saw almost all of it, pee wee is the man. He is so good. I hope we get to see more pee wee in movies and other stuff, it's been long overdue. The same with ralph macchio and a lot of the older eighties icons, they own the actors of today by a large margin.
All of you need to be investigated for aiding and abetting child molestation and some sort of perverted role playing because I don't see what else this show could promote. I'm taking down names and keeping files on all of you... and even though Juan Valdez hasn't posted in this thread, I know he wants to. It is wrong and strange in a way that only Michael Jackson can relate to.
I doubt Michael Jackson can relate to anything nowadays.....oh except being dead. Had no idea there was a show in 1981. I'll have to look into it. HBO has recently been showing a lot of stage productions. Laurence Fishburne was excellent in Thurgood and even though it was movie based on a stage production, The Sunset Limited was good as well.
