    According to a source, Zydrunas Ilgauskas is close to accepting a contract from the Miami Heat. The Cavs had an offer for Z on the table.

    The Cavs made it clear to Z that he was always welcome. Of course, earned the right to go anywhere he wants in free agency.

    why have people been so high on big Z signing with miami? i know they need some centers pretty badly and it's not necessarily going to hurt, but this guy is 34 and just came off a season where he shot 44% and his PER collapsed from 18 to 12. he couldn't slow down dwight howard 2 years ago and he hasn't picked up a lot of size and speed since then.

    Big Z is not a full time starter anymore. We'll see how they fill up their roster. Looks like Bosh is going to play a lot of center minutes after all.
