Sheer madness: http://store.steampowered.com/ I can list deals, but pretty much everything is a deal to some degree. Guess the 24-hour (or...um...38+ hour) deals might be some of the crazy ones though. edit: Yea! Someone already did the work: http://www.steamgamesales.com/
Bought a ton of games, mostly older ones or somewhat-indie games. I somehow don't have any of the Telltale games, so the $50 deal for their games was huge for me. Seems like I averaged about $2.79 per game...but maybe I bought too many. Really wanted to get King's Bounty: Armored Princess, which I haven't bought yet for some reason. I'm going to hold off though and hope that maybe it is a daily deal sometime. ~$27 is nice (MSRP is ~$40), but when I see Stalker for $2 and GTAIV for $7.50, I can't help but feel greedy. If nothing else, these non-daily deals are supposed to be good until January 3rd, so I'll just make sure to buy it by then if it hasn't been reduced further via some other deal. Probably not a bad idea to do that for any game >$10 I suppose.
Damn you RC, just spent some more money I shouldn't  Rome Total War at $2.79 PUzzle Quest $5 World in Conflict Complete Edition $10 Nice
MIRROR'S EDGE at 5 bucks is an absolute STEAL. BUY THIS GAME. For a price of a footlong at Subway, you get one of the most innovative and fun games released this gen.
I really didn't see anything I really wanted other than Tropico 3. Got it just for the hell of it. I also got a game I had never heard about but seemed to have gotten pretty decent reviews : Sword of the Stars. It's their "ultimate" pack which I guess includes 2 of the expansion packs as well. It seems like it's a somewhat detailed 4x space game. Got them both for around $35. Now I just have to find time to play them...
Tropico 3 is pretty fun. Gameplay hasn't changed that much from Tropico 1 but the graphics are so purdy. After playing the demo I couldn't hold out and bought it when it was $40. Urghh.
Got Stalker for $2.49 just for the hell of it. Also got the King's Quest pack (All 7 games in the series) for $4.99. I played King's quest 1 around 1984?! I believe. It will be weird playing it again.
Is King's Bounty: Armored princess stand alone game or does it require the original King's Bounty: The Legend to run? I have the retail version CD of King's Bounty: The Legend and I am not sure if its compatible with the steam version of King;s Bounty: Armored princess. Anyone know?
Yeah? You wanna get pwned? I haven't played in a while either but I was playing yesterday.. still kick ass on that game... mmmm good times.. good times.
Arg.. well I didn't wanna buy 1.6... Source is the only thing I have at this point. Forgot my account info for my CS 1.6 and CSS.. so I bought CSS again for $5.
I used to have CS1.6, then I lost the account it was on lol... Now I only have Source. Anyways the sales are incredible but I'm finding myself not wanting to buy any of the games.... Got enough backlog to clear and finish as it is...
I'm tempted to buy that Civ IV : The Complete Edition package. I lost my Civ IV cd's and this comes with that plus various expansions/add-ons. Not bad for $26+. Of course as soon as I buy it, it'll probably drop to $15... Jade Empire may be another one I'll get. It always got good reviews and it's $10 right now. Also looking at Spellforce 2: Gold Edition. But I know people have had problems running it on Vista. Some of these older games I want to make sure run in Win 7/64-bit before buying them. Dragon Age is discounted a bit, too ($37.49 and $48.74 for the digital deluxe edition)
It worked! I got Armored Princess and a couple of other games that have been part of their daily deals (Red Faction Guerrilla and Lumines pack IIRC). I haven't had much time online recently (mostly why I'm just now responding to this thread), but I made sure to spend 5 minutes or so checking out the daily deals. Speaking of which, thanks to all the guys that kept updating the thread. HL games will probably go on sale I think. Don't know about the Fallout games, but GOG has them for $3.89 for each. Currently playing it on PS3, and it is decent to good, especially if you like horror games. Assuming the PC version is similar (maybe even better?), it should be well worth the $10. Well....by normal pricing standards anyway. Some of these deals kind of skew things a bit.
