So, I turn on my laptop tonight and to my surprise, all of a sudden my mouse buttons seem to be reversed...or swapped. If I double tap my touch pad, it acts as if I right clicked. And left clicking does the same. Right clicking is the only way to make it act like a normal left click. I'm using Windows 7 64bit. ...home premium...which shouldn't make a difference. I have no idea what's up. I've tried to get into some mouse settings area, but couldn't find a place to make sure reverse isn't on.... Any one have any ideas? This is soooooo..... annoying.
I've attempted to go into the mouse settings in win7, but it doesn't do anything when I click on mouse. Like in this video: http://res1.windows.microsoft.com/r...ff87/9289872c-96a7-4700-9f7f-fbe3f171ff87.wmv sooo strange, making me think i might have a virus or something now. bah.
I don't have Windows 7, but can you go to Control Panel? Click on Hardware and select Mouse. There should be a tab for Buttons. You can configure the touchpad buttons for right-handed or left-handed. Also, there should be a tab for Device Settings. You can change the settings for the touchpad in there.
I can't get into the mouse section. I've tried, but clicking on mouse does nothing. Apparently in the video from Microsoft it should.
? It wasn't letting me change any of the settings in control panel. Not sure why, but whatever the problem was, must have been the laptop....seems to have automatically fixed itself. Just got back from the lake, and got on and it's working correctly. strange....guess that's what I get for having an acer.
