For people who were in Beta and had the pre-order it started over the weekend. But the official launch for the game is today. I will be busy at work until tonight, so won't be able to play except for about an hour. Did anyone already start playing? Anyone planning on playing? What are your thoughts?
Well I got it last night. It takes a pretty high end machine to run the game smoothely. My wife's computer met the minimum specs, but even with the settings all the way down, there was no way to see anything. Parts were completely blacked out. I am able to run it ok on my machine with everything set on low details. The install was a litle long, so I only got to do one quest. After the Rockets game tonight I will try and do more. It is a pretty cool game, though. I can't wait to try out some of the different features mentioned in the game manual which is pretty thick.
It is a monthly fee MMORPG. They have various subscription plans, and since I play other SOE games, I just upgraded to the plan that lumps them all in for one price.
Unfortunately going to be another few months for me as I wasn't able to save enough for a gaming rig.
