It would be one thing if she ONLY said all lives matter. But you conveniently left out the part where she said "forget black lives matter."

Also, you're forgetting that in her position as a leader, she has a responsibility to the university and its students - not her own biased beliefs.

Lastly, a democratic, elected government body voted to suspend her. Do you have a problem with this process?

You conveniently left out the part where she used the Twitter hash tag #blacklivesmatter.

 

And? I mentioned her referring to the movement - and how she said "forget" it - didn't I? Please don't be naive in thinking she was only referring to the twitter hashtag and not the movement itself.

As a Cullen man I have to sincerely ask how in the sweet chocolate Christ this made a major newspaper. Where the hell is Richard Connelly when you need him.

I remember back in like in '00 or '01 SGA had a black president, the secretary/speaker and treasurer were dating, the president fired the treasurer and then the president was up for impeachment. All around campus you see these anonymous fliers saying "stop the impeachment!" and noting where the next SGA meeting was going to be held. I believe the Cougar wrote an editorial about the next day.

 

The PC police strike again. This is utter bull****. Sad it is happening in the great state of Texas so much. Liberals are slowly but surely warping young minds and this is perfect evidence. Common sense and free speech are all but gone.

 

She was referring to a hashtag which references a social organization. She isn't literally saying "forget black lives matter" - more like #blacklivesmatter, Black Lives Matter, BLM, etc.

 

The sad thing is BLM started from an utter lie. The "hands up, don't shoot" utter bull**** lie has been proven to be a lie. Good cops have died due to this lie. Obama should be ashamed for pushing this utter BS lie.

 

That's when it rose. It actually started after the Trayvon Martin incident.

 

If only Black lives really mattered to the BLM movement. Then blacks would speak out on all the black on black killings in this country like happen in Chicago.

 

I fail to see the connection with Marxism, Communism, Socialism etc.

The Washington Post set up a GitHub repo with their 18 months worth of fatal police shooting data. I noticed that BLM hasn't forked the repo - I also noticed that BLM has no repo. So the UH student government sanctioned someone for criticizing a non-data-driven organization in the Data Age, really?
