known in these parts as the post-game press conference when your team sucks:

    <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/lIFyOuMGNNI?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/lIFyOuMGNNI?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

    Rather painful to watch.

Those of us who want to tank, please note that you'd be signing up for years for this, without any more guarantee of being championship bound than you do now (unless you think the Kings, as constructed presently, have a better chance of contending for a title within, say, 5 or 6 years than the Rockets do).

wow that was painful to watch. don't what he's like with his team but he certainly wasn't commanding any respect from the media.

And this is why DeMarcus Cousins will be traded sooner or later, they are trying to build a young team, with Tyreke as a central point, and they are having chemistry/coaching issues because of players like Cousins, there is no way in my mind, a young team like them, would not trade the "cancer", because if it starts to get bigger, then your main man Tyreke will become frustrated, pissed, and maybe you lose the player you thought was your guy going forward.

This team needs shooters around Tyreke, and a low post presence like Cousins to be effective, that is probably the reason why they didn´t trade Cousins earlier, but it is definitely getting worst for them, and something will happen soon enough, let´s hope Morey is all over it.

And yes, just imagine sucking so bad like these Kings suck, no to Tanking.

Cousins is such a douche. Damn. The way he's treating Westphal, makes me feel bad for Westphal.

The "17-65" question was a real zinger. Ouch! Props to the questioner.

One thing very clear is Westphal has no fear of being fired. I think he knows it will happen soon. If Reke's issue is so personal that it isn't anyone's business, he should not have mentioned it.

IMO, they will not trade Cousins this season. You cannot give up on a talented draft pick this early, no matter how big a head-case he is (unless he commits a crime). If the Maloofs are serious about improving, they must fire Westphal and bring in someone who will demand respect from Cousins and smarter, less selfish play from Reke. It needs to happen right now or during the All-Star break.

The reporters are doing their job. Back in Adelman's days with the Kings, he was prickly and wouldn't put up with questions like that. Westphal just sat there and took the beating like a man.

DeMarcus Cousins never wanted to play for Sacramento in the first place. Before the draft, rumors were coming out that he didn't want to play there, but the Kings drafted him anyway. Every since then he has done everything he can to force his way out of Sacramento and the Kings have done everything they can do to tamp down the severity of the problem and keep his trade value as high as possible. My guess is that in the coming weeks the Kings will agree to trade Cousins, if Cousins agrees to keep his mouth shut and play as hard as possible the month before the trade deadline.

Not sure why they needed to address the record, in question.

The Kings got Cousins, and that was about it, in terms of getting new pieces to add to the puzzle.

If the Kings got some star / superstar talent, and they are STILL this bad, then I would grill the coach about the record, but the timing to bring this up when the Kings only lost by 5 to the Bucks is weird.

I guess you missed the 17-65 part. This was exactly the time to address it. The reporter was gearing up to ask this question for a while.

Nobody is saying the Kings are loaded with talent, but Westphal is a very bad coach. That much is obvious.
