I watch this guy and he is a wholly terror on defense. He is a beast. Is there anybody better than him?

I honestly haven't watched the Jazz play at all this season. But if you look at the stats, he allows 0.81 points per possession. Chuck Hayes (limited minutes) allows 0.79 PPP. Elton Brand allows only 0.58 PPP!

EDIT: Looking further into this stat, though, it's not a great metric. Luis Scola allows 0.81 PPP, while Dwight Howard gives up 0.9 PPP. So I guess I really don't know.

As much as I like Luis, I kind of wish we had Milsap instead of Scola for PF.
That would make us a much better defensive and rebounding team.

Theres guys like Horford, NeNe, KG, Duncan, Okafor, Ibaka, Varejao. But all those guys play some 5 as well because their defense is so good and because there is a serious shortage in defensive bigs.

Theres also a guy whose name I dont even need to mention.

Ibaka is a fantastic help defender. His one on one defense is still improving.

...on nba 2k12. Great help defender, average one on one defender at best.

Yeah. It's not necessarily a bad metric, it's just not great for comparing players. There are some many factors that go into it, like who you're guarding and whether or not teammates are providing help.
