Anyways, what can his peak be at the SF/SG position. At the moment, he is already a superstar DEFENSIVELY as he can guard 3 to 4 positions, and uses his long arms to get steals and blocks. Offensively, he has the physical tools to be awesome. Any predictions?
From what i remember, Paul, 2pat and Xavier Henry were the 3 players Morey had big time interest in. I dunno about him being a supestar defensive player, but he ends up becoming a beast on 2K.
Next Nicolas Batum. By that, I mean a pretty good defensive wing that becomes ridiculously over hyped and we hear plenty of ridiculous trade rumors that he won't be traded for Durant and Howard combined. That's pretty much what I've seen so far.
Paul George is much more explosive and smooth than Batum. PG has the potential to be a star, Batum? Not sure much.
Paul George seems really cool. Something about him that I like. Hope he continues to improve. Loved how he stood up and really guarded Derrick Rose pretty well.
Paul George had 3 steals, 4 blocks, and 18 deflections. In ONE game. You know how hard it is to get 18 deflections in one game? Dude was a monster defensively against Chicago, and if he continues to work hard, his offense will come.
Yeah, I recall this as well. I think Morey expected Patterson (who he had ranked higher than the other two) to be off the board by #14 and that he would likely have selected Paul George or Xavier Henry at #14, since he figured one of them would have slid to the Rockets.
That's why I said "very poor man's" T-Mac. He also doesn't have the playmaking nor the raw offensive abilities that TMAC had at the same age. What he has for him is low expectations, and thus he can continue to hone his game. He can be a very good all-around offensive player, and beast defensively. As a result, he can turn out to be an all-star, and a top 2 player for a very very good team. I'm excited to see how he does. He has a chance to be a dominant perimeter defender if he keeps his mentality.
Yeah it is, this kid is explosive and has fantastic lateral quickness. Which were the two things that most stood out in his draft workouts. Its just that his one of those players that doesn't always put his athleticism out on full display.
Once he reaches his full potential I think he can be in the class of shawn marion, josh horward, or twinkle down to a trevor ariza.
