    If today's NBA players had Bird's work ethic, they'd probably end up having shortened careers as well.

    I bet Bird could easily out-play McHale these days.

    Why wouldn't he be able to? He's practiced shooting just as much as normal people spend their time walking. His athleticism (not that he had any to begin with ) went down but it doesn't surprise me one bit that he cna shoot.

    It is easy to shoot when you are 6'9" if you are under 6' go out and shoot on an 8 foot rim and see how much easier it becomes.

    So George Muresan, Shawn Bradley, Yao Ming and Manute Bol should be the best shooters ever by that logic.
