Unfavorable pitching matchups for a bad road team.

Sampson is coming out of the pen as of tonight. Driskill was sent back to AAA. Backe will be activated this weekend when the rosters expand tomorrow. I'm betting Albers goes back to the pen so that they can continue to look at Patton.

In 28 games? That's like one start each.

I've got a better idea: let's sit Woody down for the rest of the season. Without Jennings and Williams, there's only one odd man out:

    Roy
    Wandy
    Albers
    Patton
    Backe
    Sampson

...unless of course I'm forgetting someone obvious due to sleep deprivation.

Why not pitch and play all the rookies? There are 28(ish) games left of a lost season. Let's throw them out there against teams fighting to make the playoffs and see how they respond.

Well, there you go (I had forgotten about that).

DL oody illiams, and we've got a five-man rotation set.

Before Garner was fired, they were discussing going with a rotation in which one guy would pitch 5 innings and the other would pitch 4 (or less as the game situation may warrant).

They have already relegated Sampson to the bullpen for the rest of the year.

It wouldn't shock me if they went to a 6 man rotation. It's happened before, especially in September. Judging that Patton didn't get the start tonight, he was scheduled to do so... Perhaps he's the guy being reverted into the spot starter for right now.

LMAO look at Ausmus stealing a base. Thanks umps. I love the way he was looking around... I'm safe?!?!?!?! I'm safe!!!!!

    Hunter freakn Pence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Troy is starting tomorrow. I work with his father and he has told me that Troy expects to be part of a normal rotation.
