Ghost. At least that's when I first discovered him as a kid. That other one where he dances a lot looks uninteresting.
Randy Quaid had sitcom with Jonathan Winters on ABC where some neighbor kid who liked a girl sang that Righteous Brothers song to her.
swayze had the unique ability walk the line b/t chick-flicks like ghost and dirty dancing and also appeal to the dudes with roadhouse and point break. so answering this question is really tough - whether you are a male or female, there are multiple options. i would have to go with point break, but roadhouse is awesome too. outsiders and red dawn great, but he was not really the lead in those movies...those were more ensemble casts. "theres cliffs on both sides...im not going to paddle to new zealand" "back off warchild...seriously" "i know you want me so bad its like acid in your mouth...but not this time johnny" the chippendales SNL thing is definitely a top 3-4 all-time skit for me so bonus points for his comedic chops. barney had the sexier moves for sure, but that was a great performance by swayze!
this might be his defining non-film role! its a pretty s***y tatto, but you have to respect the commitment!
