with every other post like this i say: With rockets managment i expect these kind of teams. But this time u cant really blame them, a whole bunch of other teams passed on him according to above post.
Yeah, everybody basically passed on him. I remember thinking that he would have been a great pick at 15, but then the mock drafts come in, and he keeps falling, it spreads like a disease and you start to agree with what you read and not with what you know. I think teams were probably worried that he didn't seem to have much emotion and that he was really freaking skinny.
Are you saying that we should have used the 1st pick on Prince? Prince had a great postseason. But to say that we should have drafted a very good role player with the no.1 is just crazy.
Oh, I don't know.. With all the SOF's and YOF's that have been rampant with utterly confounding ignorance and irrationality on this BBS. It wouldn't be at all surprising for either of them to propose such an.. 'idea'.
If I remember correctly, the choice in that draft was between Prince and that 6' 10" bum from Philly, whatshisname. The one that shot at his girlfriend. I can't even remember his name, & it's just as well that I can't. ~ Kountzer ~
You don't remember correctly. Prince was in the Ming draft. We chose Boki over Prince. I remember reading somewhere that if Boki hadn't been there then Prince probly would have been the choice. zzzzz ....
I still think Boki has just as much upside as Prince, if not more. Besides, Boki is white and does not look like an Alien. Larry Bird has faith in Boki, we should also.
Why do we always say passing up someone? Have we well developed the players we got from draft? Some team focus on players' strength and give them time, while others may emphasis their shortcomings and keep them on bench. That makes a big difference.
