Details are sketchy, a local show just got info on it, but the passengers subdued some nut that tried to get into the cockpit of an America Airlines plane. The plane landed in Chicago. Hopefully something will pop up soon.

Apparently, it was Air Rage - not an attempted hijacking.

Now they are saying it was a "mentally challenged boy" who got away from his dad and was knocking on the locked cockpit door. Plane landed safely and no arrests were made.

Way to twist the freaking news media! I'm sure people were afraid of a retaliation, so they report this and THEN give us the info! :sigh: I guess it is easy to confuse this for a hijacking, I guess.

Same thing with the India Hijacking. Media reporting facts before they are proven.

Wow, me calling a possible hijacker a nut, and finding out it's a mentally challenged boy doesn't make my initial statement look to good now!
