All night on the beach 'till the break of dawn... Welcome to Miami . . . Bienvenido a Miami!!!! Yup, that's right. I'm in Miami on business. Specifically, I'm in a hotel room overlooking the finest g-strings that South Beach has to offer! Life is good. Besides South Beach, does anyone have suggestions on other places to visit? Or is it South Beach or bust? (Not that I mind!)
Nice. I'll probably hit up South Beach soon as I'm leaving this week for work in Florida. I wanna hit the Keys as well.
I'm at UM now and you will probbaly see lots of UM co-eds if you're anywhere on Deco Drive any night you check it out. Any of the clubs or bars right within a few blocks of the beach are ver very nice. I spent the night at the Grand Vacations Hilton last week with my bro when he was in town. The next morning (okay, it was noon) I saw at least 50 topless females. Coconut Grove is a lot closer to UM and would have more college students. You can't go wrong with what South Beach offers though. You could start off with a drink at the Clevelander, have a nice dinner on the sidwealk at any of the restaurants with live bands and end up at the clubs. Anything you're specifically interested in? Marlins season is done and the Dolphins suck; too early for the Heat and the next Hurricanes football game is next Thursday, I'm sure after you've left. I've barely scratched the surface in he month and a half that I've been here. It sucks that transportation (without a car) is terrible and downtown is so displaced from the University. I ain't complaining though. Oh yeah, this weekend there's a chance I'll head up to Orlando for Halloween Horror Nights, but the guy who would be taking me is an *******, so instead I will probably stay in town and hit this up (a driving-lover's dream): http://putitinplay.com/ And I might head down to the Keys this weekend, but probably next.
Small world - I was in Miami last Saturday to play a gig with my band. I can't comment on the night life, but we stayed in a small hotel on South Beach (Collins Street to be exact) and the vibe is very cool. We were able to hit the beach for a couple of hours and although the surf is pretty weak (I like to take my boogie board out whenever I'm at the ocean), the water and other bathers are quite beautiful. Furthermore, the gig was probably the most professionally promoted and run show we've done ever. Even though the venue is fairly mid-size, the sound, lighting and security were all top notch. And the promoter fed us very well (in addition to paying us well). Not really answering your question but I wanted to talk about Miami anyways.
