I'm looking to switch from working dairy @ Kroger's to something that pays a little better than $7.35. I don't know about another grocery store (although I'd consider it), but something different. I'm going to get my A+ cert sometime this summer, but for now... I don't have any degrees (Computer Info Sys, 2013) or certifications under my belt. So just a regular $8/hr+ part-time job. Any thoughts?
Try craigslist under general labor and you should be able to cull a warehouse or driver job making $10-15 an hour/min. You can go the manual labor route or ....look at anything connected with computers, play to your aptitudes. There is high demand for folks with your skills.
Are Craigslist job offerings legit? I've never been on there for a job, but wondered about that though
This. One of the biggest mistakes I made in college was wasting time with jobs that had nothing to do with my future career. Just take the student loans and spend all your time either trying to find internships or at least working in your desired industry.
You probably get a sh!tload more money/tips if you apply right now at the Alamo Drafthouse in both locations... THEY NEED MORE SERVERS, SO GO NOW!!!!! http://drafthouse.com/houston
Go apply at Microcenter for part-time at General Sales (entry sales) You get $4 an hr plus pool commission (avg. $4per hr) + reg. commission (avg 2% of total sales that day). If you have a bad sales day you can make $9-10 per day. A good sales day can equal $14-17 per. You are around electronics and computers all day. So you can relate to those products with customers. Since you have computer background, mite be good place for work experience too. There's some workers there that's studying CIS/MIS right now, but once they are finish; they move on. Most that work in that department are 19-23yr old.
Try Batteries Plus. I'm a manager at one here in Virginia and we start our associates out at $9/hour and it gets bumped to $10 after their computer training is complete, plus commission which averages around $25-$30 a month. In Florida I know associates start around $12, not positive what it is in TX.
If you want real money go get a job at a restaurant. But I'd try and do something similar to your degree as mentioned earlier.
That sounds good. Any more info? Sounds full-time though. You could work at ups. Apply at upsjobs.com. 8.50 first, within a year 9.50 with full benefits. The turnover ratio is very high due to slave like work with and people yelling at you.
How in the hell did you agree to $7.25 working as a stalker? I work overnight in frozen and they started me out little more. I got bumped to Frozen head in less than 3 months and got raise been there little over eight months now. Summer is coming up have you tried staffing agencies? They have plenty of temp positions that don't require certifications and if so the employer will certify you. That's how I got my HP and Dell certs.
Hmm. Yeah, I admit I've thought about working there on more than one occasion but don't particularly enjoy the selling to people all the time. part-time or full?
