Basically I thought long and hard about if Ariza can really match up to Parsons. Now I can only base this on this years stats since Ariza is pretty fragile. As in this dude is injury prone.

Now we all know the Western Conference is hell of a lot tougher then the East. So I wanted to compare their stats against WESTERN CONFERENCE TEAMS. To make it even more obvious this will only be against the TOP teams in the West.

Tl:DR? Parsons wins in pretty much every scenario except for against OKC and its a tie against Portland. Even then those games required Ariza to be hot as hell from the 3 point line. Plus Parsons is the dominant assist man.

Parsons does everything well but isn't great at anything. Ariza is great at 3s and D and maybe rebounding but worse than Parsons in every other category.

Parsons is a guy that can be part of creating offense - Ariza is a guy that can't do that but only finish.

In short: Parsons is an integral part of the team, Ariza is a great complimentary piece.

Ariza is better alongside Harden, Parsons is better if no Harden.

I actually agree. But that doesn't mean Ariza is better on a team that has Harden. Parsons can pick up the slack when Harden is out or off. Ariza can't.

Who can make something happen on this team now? No Lin, no Parsons. Probably a lot more Harden iso next seaon. Harden will have to play 40 minutes a game. When he is off, we will look bad. We need another playmaker at either PG, SG or SF. Get Lull over.
