So I was in the shower this morning and I had an eureka moment. It occurred to me as I was scrubbing my head with the new Dove shampoo that my wife just bought from Costco that Parker Lewis' nemesis, the evil principal, Ms. Russo, might have been carrying on an affair with her underling, Frank. When you think about it, it really all makes sense.
I'd hit it or point-forward or Hispanic? or coolness or Sura faints or Ferris Beuller or some such thing.
Syncronize Swatches! That show was pure genius. It's weird that a show that was essentially a ripoff of Ferris Bueller's Day Off was so much better than the "official" TV show that was based off the movie...
I nearly died when I saw him as a doctor on ER...I mean cmon he's KUBIAK!! No patients at a hospital wears underwear!! How can you put Kubiak in a non wedgie situation?!?!
What a blast from the past. Good show. I wonder what happened to Parker, or at least the actor that plays him. Unless I'm senile and my memory is getting all jumbled, that was a great Sunday lineup: Parker Lewis, Simpsons, In Living Color, Married w/ Children. Oh wait, since we're posting random stuff all over the place - I've got a theory that Wings (the sitcom about the small operation airport in Nantucket or wherever the hell it was) is based on Disney's Rescue Rangers (the cartoon on chipmunks who would fly planes). Both involve brother pilots. One dresses like a pilot, the other always wears casual clothes. There's a fat dude w/ a mustache. The a blonde w/ long hair. There's a weird mechanic. And I guess the taxi driver's counterpart is that blue bug. I'll take my nobel prize now, thank you very much.
I'm thinking TaleSpin is more accurate: Baloo = Joe Kit Cloudkicker = Brian Rebecca Cunningham = Helen Wildcat = Lowell Louie = Roy or Antonio Shere Khan = Roy(?)
"Not a Problem" that show as money, I read in Entertainment Weekly one of the editors was saying that this was the show that everybody wanted on DVD, I would buy it in a heartbeat, this and Duckman
i remember loving that show, but cant really remember the characters or anything else about it... it was round 89-91 iirc... back when FOX was the b*stard step-child of network tv
I actually enjoyed this show. Glad to see that I wasn't the only person who thought Ms. Musso was nice-looking.
How 'bout the guy from the FBDO tv show, also starring in the made for tv movie "I Know My First Name is Steven".
Agreed. I enjoyed Parker Lewis, but Pete and Pete were just genius beyond anything else. There was also a shortlived series on Fox called Great Scott, that I loved as well. It had a young Toby Macguire in it as the lead.
