Come on, guys. The only reason why Hakeem can screw up Rockets' FA siging is the team values him too much. So if that happens, I will say Rockets CHOOSE to let dream screw them up. Why do you guys always assume Hakeem initiated all the bad things. Remember, Hakeem is never too close to the media. It may well be possible that the management wants to use Dream as a excuse to delay MoT, SA signing while they scout for better deals. Or maybe Hakeem did ask Rockets whether they mind he goes away for a while, and Rockets said yes.

Call Hakeem a greedy b*stard all you want. But he is no worse than any other working man who wants a higher salary. The only way one can screw up a company is when his boss let him to it, or his boss makes him "look like" the one who does it. So if my boss can't get another good employee, it is because my salary is too high or I am on leave so that I am not around to interview the new guy? SICK LOGIC! SILLY!!! Where is your intellgience to survive in the corporate world!? You think this is a communist country?! Come on! In a capitalist economy like this, the boss always have most of the control, one way or another.

This one-sided boo against Hakeem is getting ridiculous on this board. Honestly I am very disappointed (as if somebody cares.) I came here to join people who also enjoys watching Rockets and Hakeem play, and yet now I see much more friendliness towards Hakeem on other basketball BBSs.

Take for instance, the Shaq-Hakeem comparison. At the end of the playoffs, a overwhelming number of posts here put Shaq above Hakeem. Yet, when I did a search on Google newsgroups, most people have favorable words for Hakeem. I am not discussing whether Hakeem is better than Shaq, but what is happening on this board reminds me of parents who always think other people's kids are better, smarter or cuter.

Good Lord, I wish the parents of my H.S. players thought that other kids are better than their own! There is nothing better than just getting a big win in a close game, then having the glory crushed by a mob of parents questioning your decisions about playing time for Jr. Anyway, I think many of these posts about getting other guys are speculation, wishfull thinking, or simply something to do! Its fun to try to generate discussion. Isn't that the whole idea of the forum? Maybe someone will be right and a big deal will go down?

Everyone has an opinion. It might not be yours but it does not mean we do not LOVE our Rockets or more specifically, Dream. We are all part of the Rockets family. I applaud your coming to the defense of OUR FAMILY but we do not have to agree 100% of the time. Just 99.9%! [IMG]
