I'm both confused and disturbed about this. This is something that happened at my wife's elementary school and I'd like you're opinion. A male paraprofessional (aide) probably in his late 50's was doing cafeteria duty and some elementary students were throwing beans at him. This aide loses his temper, grabs the kid and the plastic cup the beans were in and mashes the beans(still in the plastic cup) into the kids face. The kids face gets scratched up because the plastic cup broke and cut the kids face. Needless to say, this guy gets canned, and I come to find out that he was thrown in jail for a few days, but got ill and ended up in the hospital for another 10. Now that he's out of the hospital, he's on facebook and he's making it seem like he is out because he was ill. Now people are sending prayers and well wishes. Truth is, he may get locked up for two years for this assault. When I first found out about this, I was pissed off. A little at the kid, but enourmously at the aide. This Facebook thing is really pissing me off though.
Having a little runt throw beans at you while at work sucks... I wouldn't smash the cup in his face, but I would definitely throw the beans right back at him at a distance resulting in a food fight and everybody wins, case solved..
He should've just mashed the beans on the top of the head, not the face. Kid's faces, especially the punks, are fragile.
I don't agree with the guy but Kids are little sh**s because they can hide behind being a kid and the authority figures then when they get bold enough enough to do bigger and bigger things then once 'cross the line' . . .we want to 'try them as an adult' Rocket River All the freedoms and none of the responsibilities
If you know the races of these people, you should have posted this in D&D with the following thread title. Old White Cafeteria Worker Shreds Asian Child's Face with Plastic Shiv over argument involving traditional Hispanic Cuisine Then open your post with a roll eyes.
Now don't get me wrong. The kid was a turd for doing that and should have been dealt with, but not like that. We will all say "My kid won't do that" but what if it was your child? I just need to become an asst principal already.
I'm on the aides side. For how long have I wanted to smash a plastic cup of beans on to someone's face.
whoever got to him first. Granted, the scratching of the face is a bit much...what ever happened to good old fashioned spats?
Someone should not go to jail for scratching someone with the broken edge of a plastic cup. WOW I'm sure those scratches are gone already. I mean, its hard enough to cut someone with a plastic knife...
Lame. Everyone gets into such an uproar when someone's "precious little snowflake" acts like a little s**thead, and blames the guy who was probably just having a lousy day to begin with, and took things too far. I'm not condoning what he did at ALL, but 2 YEARS IN JAIL?? Gimme a freaking break....the kid assaulted him first! I agree that he should have been fired, and I think the kid should have been suspended for a LONG time. That would have solved everything. I'm sure the parents of the kid are OUTRAGED that this guy decided to hurt their little angel, but how about some personal responsibility? If anything, this kid learned a VALUABLE lesson. Being a kid doesn't mean you can act like a douche and get away with it.
It's such a messed up society. Dude would have been better off faking an eye injury, then tripping on a bean, and suing the crap out of the kid's parents. It's sad because that's the only solution I could think of that doesn't end up getting you fired and actually teaches the kid a lesson.
