He can definitely do it for short stretches, but there's no way in hell he can guard Blake Griffin, Aldridge, Love, Dirk, etc... We really need an upgrade at that position.
That isn't really the point. No one can guard Griffin, Aldridge, Love, Dirk, etc. It take a total team effort on defense to contain those guys. I think that Pap gives us a good match up at the 4 against at least 20 plus teams in the association.
Greetings from greece. I agree. Pap will be fine against some teams but to stop griffin etc you need team effort.
He should never be the 4 when Griffin or ZBo are on the floor. But he can very capably put in 5-10 minutes at the 4 when the other team goes small. We just need a backup big who can play the 5 and 4 comfortably, preferably one that isn't DMo.
I said this in another thread but if they sign Quincy Miller like I want them to, he can play approximately the same amount he is playing now - 20 mins a game. Rocket backup Black K-Pa Miller Terry Canaan
