I know it is the national Enquirer, but the fact that the guy is now trying to seal his divorce records to protect her says a lot.

    Another possible scandal concerning Palin

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alaska Governor Sarah Palin - the most tabloid ready politician ever - may soon have another full blown scandal. We've all heard about the unwed pregnant daughter and Palin's attempts to get revenge on her sister's ex-husband, a state trooper the Governor allegedly tried to get sacked because divorces are messy and revenge is fun.

Well, the National Enquirer reported this week that Palin had an affair with her husband Todd's ex-business partner. The McCain camp's absolutely livid about the tale and have their lawyers working every angle to clear up this "smear." Meanwhile, up in Alaska, Palin's alleged beau's legal team's working overtime to get his divorce records sealed tighter than an abstinent girl!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    So, let's review:

The Palin choice has energized the Republican party, but if this is true, both her and McCain had an affair....and I seem to remember the Republican's caring very much about this when Clinton was in the Whitehouse.

Seriously, this sexism/misogyny is getting ridiculous. Leave her family alone.

Actually the problem I had with Dollar Bill was him looking directly into the camera and lying to every one of us about it.

It was the lie, not the affair.

America has had a long infatuation with politicians who can't keep their winkies in their pants. See the deification of Kennedy which only seems to glow more brightly with every passing year.

So no, it's not the fact that he had an affair, but rather the fact that he could look us in the eye and lie about it.

The two situations are not even remotely comparable.

How low must you stoop to source articles from the National Enquirer? I guess this is what happens when your hopeychangey candidate plummets in the polls.

Wasn't it the Inquirer that broke the Edwards story?

    Pathetic logic.

I know they were right about the Edwards thing, but I'm not buying it.

If it were true, I think it does say something about her character and is legitimate information to process in making a voting decision. However, Edwards story notwithstanding, I cannot accept the National Enquirer as any sort of source.

Enquirer broke the Jesse Jackson story too and the details of the Clinton-Lewinsky story. They had the pictures of the blue dress. We'll see if this story sticks. However, the McCain camp has debunked several of the rumors already. Looks like Palin wasn't even in labor when she gave her speech in Texas:

From the New York Times today.

    http://www.iht.com/articles/2008/09/08/america/08baby.php?page=2

In fact, Palin was not in labor, and her doctor thought she had time. So the governor flew to Seattle, continued to Anchorage and then drove to a small hospital near her hometown, Wasilla — a journey of at least 10 hours.

"She wanted to get back to Alaska to have that baby," said a friend, Curtis Menard. "Man, that is one tough lady."

A woman with symptoms like Palin's should be examined to determine her condition, said Dr. Laura Riley of Massachusetts General Hospital. The long trip home could have posed a risk, "but the odds were still in her favor that everything would be O.K.," said Susan Gerber of Northwestern University.

When Palin arrived at the hospital, she was still not in labor, so her doctor induced it, Bruce said. Trig was born early the next morning, weighing 6 pounds 2 ounces.

So, it's ok when they pry into Edwards love life, but not Palin's? Mkay.

I couldn't care less if she had an affiar. But to argue that it's sexist for the Enquirer to investigate is HI-LARIOUS!

If true though that would mean only one party has a candidate that kept their Jimmy or Jane in their own house....

How would the religious right deal with a McCain and Palin both being cheaters?

    Oh the irony.

You're days behind this story, DD. The Smoking Gun reported on 9/5 that the seal motion was denied and that the attempt had nothing to do with an affair.

I guess we will have to see if anyone examines those records....to see if this develops.

Its the double standard of the century.

Someone quick, go dredge up some quotes from the Edwards scandal thread...

DaDakota, care to apologize for polluting the board with false, poorly sourced, dated articles? Just disgraceful.

I don't care to hear about this trash no matter who the subject is, but I had to point out the irony here.

Most of George's trash hits on Obama didn't even make The Enquirer's standards. His complaint here is, as usual, totally full of ****.

Not in the least, I said it was from the Enquirer, and I am sure the truth will come out, whether it is debunked or truthful.

I am not saying it is truthful.....but to say that someone should not look into it is Ostrich like, don't you agree?

Wouldn't you want to know you can trust who you are putting inline to be the President if he should become incompacitated?

We already know McCain had an affair.
