So I have been trying to work out for the last month or so. I have been making steady progress (strictly psychological; no tangible progress to show yet). As of late, after lifting, my forearms have been hurting like crazy. It hurts especially when I am about to put the weights down. The veins on the bottom of my forearms pop out and it has become somewhat of a roadblock in my workout regimen. Anyone else experience this? Any suggestions on things to do/take to get rid of this pain so I can workout as I would like. I really don't want something seemingly so petty to get in the way of me continuing to workout as I would like.
Even though I have just started working out also, my advice would be to lower the weight. Work on your form with the lower weights then start to gradually increase. This will help you to develop the muscles and stablilizers and good form will usually prevent any injuries.
The most likely cause I can think of is excessively repetitive motion with forearm. It's unusual though that both arms hurt.
You're in luck. I asked this exact same question a few months ago and got some good responses: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=103171
Just be careful not to let your palm slip over the bell end and hit the bottom of your jaw and thus causing a painfull chipped tooth..... Ahhhh..not that I know of that happening or anything. DD
I had this problem before also. The key is to slow the workout down, and concentrate on perfect form. Remember it's not a race.
Hey, that's funny because it would be like you hurt your forearms from masturbating, instead of lifting weights. So it's all like, "Hey I have painful forearms." And then everyone else is like, "Because you masturbate! HA HA!" I wonder why no one else thought of that?
