Pacers Coach indicates Rockets are T-Mac frontrunners

    Carlisle indicates Rockets are T-Mac frontrunners

    I was just listening to the Dan Patrick show on my XM Radio and they had the head coach of the Pacers, Rick Carlisle on as a guest and the subject of various trade talk across the league came up. Eventually the discussion went towards T-Mac and Patrick asked him if he wanted T-Mac, etc. Carlisle said that they had talked to the Magic, but from everything he has heard "Down in Houston they are putting together a blockbuster." Patrick then said, "Yeah, Francis and Cuttino Mobley," and Carlisle said something like "Well, yeah, but maybe more than that" (not an exact quote--but very similar) and he seemed to suggest that there could be more involved that we haven't heard about. The Rockets were the only team that Carlisle even mentioned in regards to Tracy McGrady.

    good stuff sircharles....this would tell me that there are future #1's and/or cato involved...what else would qualify as blockbuster unless there is a 3rd team involved?

    This is basically what we've heard from most other news sources not named ESPN Insider.

    The only thing that concerns me is how close he supposedly got to acquiring Sprewell last offseason, and how that apparently fell through.

    Rick Carlisle Coach Info confirmed Houston putting up blockbuster deal for T-MAC

    On Dan Pat show just now, pacer coach Rick Carlisle Coach Info confirmed with Dan Pat that Rockets are putting up a deal including SF,Cat and other(s) for T-Mac+Ohter(s). He also said that he's not sure how involved pacers are to make the trade for T-mac at this point.

    Because he plays his heart and health out, we got him in the second round, changed his game every year for his coach, and took less money to play for us. The dude is just likable and a true rocket.

    True.....always liked Cat....always loved Steve (I'm a terp alum).....but Yao and T Mac sounds so sweet
