The NBA has to come down hard on this.

If they don't thinly veiled shell companies are gonna quickly become all the rage to avoid caps and taxes. I'm sure backdoor promises and handshake deals happen all the time, those are tough to legislate. However if true this is flat out paying a player off books.

If this is true, the Clippers are going to have a rough future. Only have 2 tradeable firsts. I assume Silver will take 2-3 FRPs. My guess would be the 2027 FRP, the 2030, and 2032 (if 3 picks).

With a clause that says he’s only paid as long as he’s a Clipper.
    They’re screwed lol

It is still aging Kawhi and not Cooper Flagg.

If they start paying young stars under the table....I can see a lot more outrage.

Pablo Torre might want to hire personal security detail.

I wonder if this is going on elsewhere too. Ballmer should have to sell like the team for blatantly violating the salary cap

I disagree. I think the worst part is the cheatin’.

The Clippers were all, “I like cheatin’, I know it’s not politically correct…”

Now do the Warriors, Lakers, Celtics, Heat, or any other franchise that hasn't been a doormat for the NBA the past 40yrs.

If this is systemic and other teams do it, it compromises the integrity of the entire league.

Owners may decide the fallout isn't worth digging too deep.

The Clippers were forced to oust Sterling. Now it's Ballmer's turn?

Once a Clipper, always a loser.
