Of course they do. Many start in gay p*rn (Peter North probably being the most famous). They change their name to try and distance themselves from their past. Women have complained about it, but only the real stars can make real demands. Gay p*rn is easier to get into, and the pay is better. Very few male actors make big bucks in the straight world because they are nothing more than a prop.
