    you guys realize that is just one issue from length of contracts, guarantees, mid levels, etc. That is not the only or the main issue, there are many things

    One of the main issues was the BRI split.

    Re-quoting for those who may have missed it. And adding hard cap, luxury tax, changes to Bird rule....

    I think the league sees the BRI% as the hedge against not being able to find agreement on other issues that affect parity. If they can't get greater parity from the players with a hard cap etc, they'll take cash instead to raise the ability of the low-revenue teams to field a competitive roster.
