His loss was tough - perhaps the difference in making the palyoffs. Dude was off the charts when he went down -and now..
The question is, what do we do with him in the off-season? I'm guessing he gets franchised til we see what that knee has left in it. Hopefully he handles it better than Dumbta.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I heard this is the third time he's blown out a knee, to clarify, I heard he's injured one of them twice and the other once, but it has been the same injury each time, anyone know if this is true?
I seem to recall this as well. Looks like he only played two years of college ball though he was a Senior. I believe he was injured those first two years.
I though one was in High School, one in college and then this one this year, someone will know for sure, I searched around a bit but haven't found it anything yet.
If they don't agree on another CBA, then he will go into next year as a restricted free agent, which means they can make the same high tender to him that they did this year. It will suck for him (as much as making ~$3 million sucks for anyone) but it will give the Texans a year post injury to make sure there are no lingering effects. If the league and players agree to another CBA, I'm not sure what will happen.
i know he blew out his knee in college. I was never able to find out which one. He did move from QB to TE in college, so i'm not sure if he was injured for those 2 years, or if he took one year to learn the position. I always thought that he had such a talent for getting open because he was a QB. He always put himself in great position to get a pass. I'm not sure about the HS knee injury though.
It appears Owen Daniels wasn't a product of the system. The system was a product of Owen Daniels and a few others.
i remember he was a QB before. then got converted to TE here at UW. pretty good for a QB. sucks he is injured though.
