Been watching Forrest Gump in my American History class and this movie has not aged well at all and has a lot a bad over the top acting.

This movie would be ripped apart today, and not just because it's not very PC.

    Disagree. Forrest Gump is timeless.

    Avatar did not age well.

Forrest Gump is cringe worthy these days, especially Bubba Gump.

Never have watched all of Avatar it never clicked with me.

Titanic was overrated AND it didn't age well.

I thought Avatar was overrated when it came out - I thought the movie was just meh and I HATED all the CGI.

I also thought Pulp Fiction was overrated when it came out. Don't get me wrong, I liked the movie but I didn't Love it, nor did I think it deserved all the hype surrounding it.

I've always disliked Al Pacinos accent in Scarface. An Italian could never get away with that today, lol.

Love Humphrey Bogart, but I've seen The Maltese Falcon 3 times, once in the theater, and I always found it dull.

Better question for me is did you dislike it when it was new?

Agree. Loved seeing Avatar in the theater when it first came out, and don't even care about seeing it again.

I remembered liking it, and I love Casablanca and a couple of his other classics. But I tried, tried to watch the MF last month. Couldn't do it.

When Gary Sinise goes overboard to drown himself and Gump walks off the side of the boat without breaking stride as he exclaims "Lieutenant Dayaaan"...

That's the best scene in the movie.

The movie Troy is utter dog sh$t now when I catch it when on and for some reason I used to think that was a good movie back in college.

I’ll also go on a limb here and catch some flack probably but Scarface is terrible.

After years of having never seen It's a Wonderful Life, my wife finally got me to watch it this past year. I was not impressed. On top of that I will vehemently argue that it is NOT a Christmas movie because it has very, very little to do with Christmas and the only real part that even takes place during Christmas time is the very end of the movie.

Which of these do you think are overrated?

Most of them have not aged well, but I don't think any are egregious, especially taxi driver I think that could be remade today and not have to change much.

I've never understood why Forrest Gump has such a dedicated hate club, but to each their own.

In terms of movies that are noticeably worse than the first time I watched them, Fight Club and The Usual Suspects come to mind. Once you know the ending, Usual Suspects is an extremely mediocre movie IMO.

Fight Club was extremely cool when I was younger, now it just seems like edgelord nonsense. I miss the days when consumerism and a boring life were the worlds real villains in this country

Watching Forrest Gump in history class? Are you in middle school? I hope you're not paying for that.
