This Rox team is on the right track. Rudy is teaching the right thing. Players are following him. But we won't make the playoffs.

Why? Too many things are OVERDONE here. Rockets have pushed things too hard. They need little 'Damping' to find the the right solution for this team.

    1. The 4th Quarter Offense
Right now, Yao is no Hakeem, no Shaq. He can not score at will even without double team. His inside-out pass is somehow slow and not very precise. I agree that we have to run the offense through Yao in the most time of the game, in order to get everybody into the new offense system. But this newborn offense is NOT the most effecitve one for 4th quarter. Instead, ISO your best player is the way to go. If you watched some Mavs games, you would notice they share the ball all the time but at the last 3 mins, they always try to ISO NVE or Dirk simply b/c you can't afford any TO at that time. Only Kings have the guts to play passing game at clutch time. but.... they are SC Kings.

So who's our best player to ISO at clutch? I'll still pick Steve because I remember he made quite a few Final shots. Yao? maybe, but not when we are in the 9th spot.

    2. James Posey
He looked perfect for us. Play tough D, has great hustle game, nice finisher during fastbreak... But are we pushing too hard to make him a factor in the offensive end? His shoots in a scary way. Once getting off the feet, his decision making is horrible. I don't care your 14ppg in Denver. Please play the Hawkings basketball until you learn how to shoot.

    3. Pass the Dammnn ball, Steve!!
Last night he did it, when you didn't want him to. Was him thinking about big O or Clutch Forum when he hang in the air? Come on, Steve, you are an All-star starting PG. You are carrying the team. You pass the ball because you want to get other guys invloved, not because you are no longer No.1 !!!

Rudy, it's really hard for you. Keep pushing it, players may learn faster and get more improvement next year. But, would you still coach this team if no playoffs this year?

What was Steve, 1-12 last night? I don't mind him passing up on the last shot attempt of the game when he know he has an off night.
