New CBA or not, oversized contracts are part of reality due to system flaws. How much do you guys think that each will be paid before all is said and done? Also, what do you think the limit to how much Morey would be willing to spend on the guys that he is targeting? I think that Hayes will get 20mil/5yrs from the Rox. Nene - 11mil/yr (Morey) ; 14 mil/yr (Other team) Chandler - 10mil/yr (M) ; 12 mil/yr (O) Gasol - 12mil/yr (M) ; 15 mil/yr (O) Jordan - 8 mil/yr (M) ; 10 mil/yr (O) Basically, Morey is going to go after these guys but WILL NOT OVERPAY for anyone because that will be a short sighted move. If his B level targets are gone, then he will try to see if he can pry any of the players that he's been wanting through trade. Therefore, there is a very high likelihood that we will end up with Hayes and a low risk high reward type of pick up before season starts. what do you guys think these and other FA will get?
$20M/5y for Chuck seems resonable. I think he'll get a little more though. Also: Nene - 12mil/yr (Morey) ; 14 mil/yr (Other team) Chandler - 10mil/yr (M) ; 12.5 mil/yr (O) Gasol - 13.5mil/yr (M) ; 16 mil/yr (O) Jordan - 8.5 mil/yr (M) ; 10.5 mil/yr (O)
I don't think Morey offers DeAndre Jordan that much, IMO that kid is servicable only if he's next to a really good big man. I think the Magic offer Jordan and Butler big deals in an attempt to revamp the roster, but I think the Clippers match the offer and kill their cap space in the process.
