As of now the Rockets are in 11th place and 3 games back of Portland for the 8th spot with 40 games left to be played. I thought it would be interesting to update this thread until the final game of the season with potential injuries and trade deadline looming ahead. I'll say we sneak into the 8th spot of the playoffs with 1 game over the 9th seed.
If no significant trades happen we will miss by a few games. I want to believe it's going to go down to the last game.
Not good; one in a million? Different team, who knows might be here and who might be gone. Bring this back after the trade deadline.
10% chance, Rox really 4 out because we lost the tiebreaker to Portland and considering we are down 2-0 in the season series to Denver, it will be tough. Without a true center, any team worth a darn with a post presence will eat us alive.
The whole season we've been right on 5 games under .500. If we win a few, we just lose again to get right back at 5 games under .500. We are not making the playoffs. Sorry. No chance. Unless a big trade happens.
There is no way the Rockets can be worse than the start of the season when we lost Yao and Brooks and Lowry to injuries. The worst is behind us hopefully and there's nowhere to go but up. The Rockets still managed to stay in the playoff race. I say they might wind up getting 8th or even 7th seed.
Not going to make it. I believe our winning percentage now is higher than what it will be at the end of the season.
We'll make it with 2-3 games to spare. I think we're better than teams with a similar record, so we'll pick up a little. Not like we're going to have to worry about any of our guys getting worn out or picking up injuries at All Star Weekend, could be a good opportunity to go on a run.
