...before Mike Brown is fired. The guy got exposed badly against the Magic last year and he's continuing to suck this year. I really can't see this guy lasting very long. I say 12 games before he's gone.

He will hang around probably just because he has Lebron on his team which means they'll make the playoffs. It's hard to get sacked if the team is winning, but no they won't win the championship. I can't believe this guy got COTY over guys like RA and PJ.

I think the point of the thread is that Cleveland isn't winning the way they should be.

    They're 3-3 and 7th in the East.

And Brown's coaching has been random, to say the least.

Having said that, I think they'll start to pull out some wins soon enough! Their roster is a bit too strong to be completely mediocre all year.

He might manage to hold his job for the year while Cleveland go 51-31 - but he'll get sacked after a 2nd round playoff exit because the owner (mistakenly) believes the team should be better than that.

If he does get fired I can see the Cavs going after JVG hard. And Van Gundy would probably jump at the chance.

it may just be me but I think a large part of the "coaching" Mike Brown does was done by his assistant, who's now incidentally the Pistons coach. Wasn't he the one drawing plays for the cavs last season?

I doubt Mike Brown is fired unless the Cavs turn into a complete mess. Brown is buddy buddy with their GM, and their GM is buddy buddy with the owner. LBJ is so good that you only need to surround him with marginally good players for them to be competitive, and with Delonte West back they essentially have an improved roster over last season (Shaq being an upgrade over Wallace). I expect them to put it together and make the playoffs, but I highly doubt they will reach the finals.
