It just kills me to say this but Eddie Griffin is just a bad basket ball player. His defense is not very good. His offense is worse than Cato’s and he does not take good shots. No passing skills. His rebounding sucks. I know I saw more than this from him last year as a 19-year-old rookie. Someone please tell me that this is just some sort of sophomore jinx. I just don’t understand it, he looked so promising. I know he is only 20 but that is just no excuse for playing so damn bad. At least give us something. Eddie was my favorite Rocket. Now I just don’t know what to think about him except that he just plain sucks.

Get well soon Kenny and please hurry off of the suspended list Mo. We desperately need someone to play power forward.

I don't think that he is bad. But he won't be a star like a lot of people think he will.

Argh. It is TWO games. Count them TWO. Have you ever heard of patience? Give the kid time, please.

He was that bad against Indy and so far again tonight. Eddies new nickname should be Air Brick.

I thought we were seeing basketball greatness in the making last year.

Eddie has no offensive moves. He can't dribble, he is weak, and he can't create a shot for himself. He is a good defender though.

He has not done any thing so far in the NBA, but Griffin was the number 2 high school player going to into college. He played very well in college, and I think he is going to be a good player but we need to get him some time. I have a hard time believing that a player as good as he was could just lose all his game. Have faith in him he will come around.

Give the kid more than 2 games before you go off the deep end please. You two are acting so irrationally it isn't even funny, its as if you forgot what griffin did last year and how young he is.

It's called growing pains. We all had them.

He is all of 20 yrs old. Did you know everything about your career when you first started or did you get progressively better on the job, with some bumps in the road inbetween?

Yeah. He is only 20. But when you can't dribble, and don't post up, you are in trouble. He is short of like Wang.

How do you know he can't post up, ever think we dont use him there because he isn't built enough to bang down low yet?

Also, his dribbling can be improved and as a pf he won't need to do much of it for most of his career.

Contrary to popular belief Eddie is not the first 20 year old to play the game at this level.

Why is Chris Anderson out playing him?

He posted up the whole first quarter and did the same stupid move.

I hope Eddie does good, I hope he turns into an all star and a hall of fame player. But show me just one part of his game that is better than last year?

You guys are making me sick. Crash, you are usually onpoint, but why are you making the Bill Walton like statements?

Because I see absolutely no improvement in Eddie's game from last year. None. He has brought zero to the table in the first two games.

He's a chucker. It seems every time he gets his hands on the ball he just tosses up a shot. His shot selection is just aweful.

His shot selection isn't as bad as Cat's but it's not good.

He needs to learn a post up hop-step dribble where he explodes into the lane and goes up strong for a short turnaround j, like J. O'neal. He should get some tapes of Jermaine and every other big man in the league with good footwork in the post, and just lock himself up in his room and start studying.

That was a nasty fast break jam he had in the first half though. :)
