Okay, this thread probably will end up moot, but let me ask for now... I know Clutch used to always try and find internet radio stations through the game threads last year, but I wasn't sure if he was gonna be around to start one for tomorrow's game. So if anybody has a radio link for it, it would be greatly appreciated by a lot of us non-Houstoners. Also, is there any new broadcast deal that would give game rights to an affiliate in Austin or other cities that weren't graced with Rox radio last year? Thanks in advance for any help.
Rocket's games are broadcasted on Sports Radio 610AM. They stream their radio station live via the internet. Here is a link: Sports Radio 610 the Official Rockets Station
Yeah, the NBA cracked down on most major webcasts last year, I guess they're still not issuing "express written consent" to broadcast. I'm just trying to find a link to a webcast with "implied verbal consent" only. Pop quiz for the Simpsons nuts - what episode is that last quote from?
I'm a RealOne Superpass subscriber, which includes NBA Audio League Pass. I know the game will be broadcasted there, along with other NBA preseason games today. Other than that, I am unsure where else you could listen to it.
It's basically impossible to listen to games unless you have real one audio pass. This same topic comes up every year, and the same conclusion is reached every year. In the past, you used to have to pay only a $15-20 one time payment for the entire year, and I would distribute my username and password to everyone. I believe 2 seasons ago, somewhere in the neighborhood of 187 people were using my account. However, the NBA wised up to this loophole aparently, and now you have to be an active subscriber to Real One whatever service they have, which is like $10-15 a month or something. Pretty ridiculous.
Here is a idea, you ever been to one of those voice chat room? how about let some people who live in houston put a radio near the microphone, and everyone else can listen to the radio in the chat room. not sure if it's legal or not thou.
ps. if anyone can provide a server, i will be glad to teach them how to build a streaming radio server.
