Why should he? He played a lot as a rookie and summer league won't teach him anything. He is likely playing in Fonde which is a lot better than the summer league.
Hmm... for some reason I thought 2nd year rookies usually attend the Summer Leagues. So when is the Fonde?
Chris McCray of Maryland and Jeremy Richardson of Delta State were the final cuts after the tryouts this past week. Is JVG really coaching this years team? Anybody know.
Apparently only 22 of 40 or so games will be on NBATV and they more than likely will be tape-delayed. I had originally read all 40 would be on NBATV, but I guess that isn't the case...
The fact that Head ISN'T playing in the summer league is more awkward than normal. Often the league is specifically suited for players in their first or second years of NBA participation. Only the top, top rookies should not have to participate; i.e. Charlie Villanueva Chris Paul, Deron Williams, etc. So, yes, I take it as a sign that Head is not on the roster.
