Why can other countries allow homosexual soldiers in their ranks without everything falling apart but not the U.S.? I don't believe it. I think our armed forces are the best in the world. Thanks I tried to search using don't ask don't tell, but it wouldn't use the terms ask and tell in the search, so I couldn't find anything. But also I wanted to focus on why the U.S. armed forces supposedly can't do what other nations are already doing successfully. That thread deals mostly with the shortage in recruitment. Or at least it was started that way.

It is the height of stupidity that we will dismiss otherwise qualified individuals from SERVING THEIR COUNTRY VOLUNTARILY, especially during a time of war. It is INCREDIBLY stupid (put a massive spire on top of the "height of stupidity) that we would have dismissed Arabic linguists at a time when we were involved in a conflict in the part of the world where Arabic is so common. Bigotry, plain and simple.

What are the problems with those nations militaries? Whatever you have against those nations military outfits it isn't because they allowed homosexuals to serve openly.
