As a Sooner fan, I'd just like to say good luck in the championship Texas. I truly believe that they will beat Colorado, even though I still think they are the 3rd best team in the Big 12 I am very sad right now, so please with hold making fun of me for a couple of days Again, good luck next week Texas.

 

Texas is the best team in the Big 12 right now...maybe not earlier this year, but right now for sure.

Texas may even get to the Rose Bowl if we can get Miami to lose tonight.

Rose Bowl here we come, great season OU but this is really poetic justice at its best, i truly believe if benson plays we beat OU, no offense duke, etc....CU will be a challenge but call me confident we arent letting this shot slip away.

Im going to find a way to watch or maybe go to the game and ill have to say is

Why cant we call you overrated? UT didnt do anything to get to the Championship game, OU did. OU played HORRIBLE today, and they dont belong in the championship game either, but UT did NOTHING! You wouldnt even be this excited if UT would've beaten OU, thus controlling their own destiny.

i would most certainly wouldve been extremely ecstatic if we beat OU, that was our big game this yr, no doubt we didnt do the best we could that day, but our offense hit a better gear once benson got his start. We have had one hell of a season, we beat the same CU team who beat neb badly this weekend 41-7, we took care of A&M at kyle field, if it was austin it wouldnt be as significant because of the nature of the rivalry and every other game we killed the opponents by 30 or more for the most part

As for the OU game it was 7-3 throughout, and your td came off a trick option series using your backup qb, i still will admit i felt benson would be the spark to get us that win, why mack sat him i dont know.

Finally, ive watched the last few OU and UT games and quite frankly we are playing much better than you guys, hybl wasnt impressive vs tech, etc but the stupid penalities by tech made that game look a lot worse than it actually was. I was surprised OSU did it but your offense hasnt been very good this yr and thus your awesome defense was wasted. Your still a great team, but while we did take advantage of some nice breaks, they always say its part luck part skill in winning a title. Nebraska, i dont know how it wouldve turned out, but with our team i know we could take them, we are no fluke. In the past i could buy we are ranked on hype but not performance, this year is different, we have a different look, feel to this team, as we have played all year like championship type teams usually do, even in the OU game it was a dogfight between two terrfic teams throughout, no blowout or manhandling.

Anyways, enjoy your bowl and looking forward to the rivalry game next yr, when hopefully well get our revenge(we should but you never know).

You have to take care of business each and every week. Texas only failed in that once, Oklahoma failed twice. Texas is the Big XII South Champion, OU is not.

First off, I would like to apologize to Shanna for my obnoxious drunken behavior last night.

With regards to playing CU, well, I always hate to play a team twice. Before the NU game, CU has been struggling, so I don't know what to expect. I think the spread will be over 20 though.

Barnett hates Brown and UT, so this is interesting.

For UT to be in the Rose, some things have to happen. Miami has to lose or , the Florida/tennessee winner will have to lose in the sec championship.

Oregons SOS will drop next game.

But, UT has to take care of business. CU should be the only thing on thier mind, even though they beat them by 34 6 weeks ago.

Yeah, the players/coaches have SAID all the right things about CU being a different team now, but I hope they believe it. 62 points on Nebraska should have gotten their attention, but you never know.

 

If I was in charge of the Big XII title game, I would angle the Brown vs. Barnett matchup.

Mack is 2-0 vs. Barnett.

Barnett interviewed for the Texas job before Brown.

Barnett has struggled at CU while Brown has been successful at UT.

Both teams are coming off emotional rivalry wins.

CU has dominated Texas in the past.

Interestingly, no South team has ever won in the South.

Give me a break! UT won more conference games than OU = they win the division out right!

They don't even make their conference schedule. It is alternating. Next year UT will have the tough one and OU will have the easier one. Just because OU choked vs. one of the worst teams in the conference doesn't make UT's division championship and spot in the title game any less convincing. OU sucks! OU sucks!

One thing about Barnett is he HATES Texas. He didn't give us credit for that thrashing, basically saying they had a bad game. Other than the NU game, CU hasn't looked all that impressive. I'm not saying it won't be a great game, but I think UT has more talent.

If UT wants to make a bcs bowl, it cannot lose here.

Also, what's up with all the dirt burglars selling tickets with the disclaimer "Longhorns need not apply."

 

Texas did one thing OU didn't: we won seven ****ing conference games.

If you don't like it, all you have to do next year is win more conference games than we do.

 

I cna't believe anyone would say we don't deserve to be in the game. We took care of our business, the land thieves did not.

I'm thinking some of you hate The University so much that you want to change the rules to where UT has to go undefeated to go to Dallas. I thought the south champions went by best record, not who won the ou/TX game.

 

Overrated U was bound to lose. I've never seen a team as lucky as the Sooners. We play the same Big 12 South opponents. Texas whipped Okla St. in Stillwater. OU blew it at home. Texas finished 7-1. OU finished 6-2. We played a different North schedule but that is determined by the conference, not by Texas.

I really like Stoops. I'd rather have Stoops get in my face after a boneheaded play than get a hug from Brown. I like the Stoops/Spurrier/Snyder coaching style - however, Stoops sounded like a jackass yesterday. He was so cocky his team would be playing in Dallas, he forgot about OSU. Stoops sounds like a badass when his team walks the walk but like a total idiot when he can't back it up.

Anyways, OU will be playing in Dallas at the Cotton Bowl while Texas is headed back to the BCS.
