Other than Seattle what city deserves an NBA team?

    The other thread inspired me.

    Not sure Memphis should be stripped and Charlotte was a great NBA city back in the day so my question is who should get a look?

    Seattle
    Las Vegas
    Another team in florida?
    Baltimore

    Austin is the largest city in population without a professional sports team iirc.

    Would tinman still be a Rocket's fan if Austin got a team this year or would he create a BBS for the new team and be a 2009er?

    Florida can barely handled what they have now. Texas doesn't need another team. I think baltimore could use a team. Las Vegas would have a hard time keeping a solid fan base.

    Seattle doesn't deserve another NBA team. The fan support was terrible even when Stern handed over Durant to them. Expansion teams are always among the worst in the league so unless they turn out like Bulls expansion team this will be another failure in Seattle.

    I think San Diego and Austin should have a team but their states already have enough teams. Personally I think the NBA should spread to other states like Missouri and Kentucky.

    Oh and we can't have a team in Las Vegas, Tmac would be too scared to play.

    I think no other city deserves an NBA franchise. Move OKC back to Seattle. Fold Memphis, Charlotte, Atlanta (possibly), and Minnesota. Possibly Miami.

    Atlanta? That team is finally turning it around after more than a decade of mediocrity. And Miami deserves to get back on its feet. Those two definitely need to stick around.

    Agreed although using this logic Kansas City and the states of Florida and Texas should be disqualified as well considering their fan bases don't support their baseball teams either.

    Las Vegas is the most intriguing option but I don't trust these professional athletes running around in Vegas on a nightly basis. I think we all know that spells 'trouble'.
