What do you think other countries think about us? For example Michael Vick case he was dogfighting got put into jail for 2 years, in some countries dog is a delicacy they could never even think about being put into jail for something like that. So how do you think other countries view us?

I don't care what they think about something we value...like dogs. All different cultures have different values. Some seem strange to others.

I care about how they view us as a neighbor and a partner in the world.

With the exception of maybe 1 or 2 countries, It has become very negative since 2000.

The predominant theme I keep hearing on the perception of Americans is that they are grossly overweight/fat.

They can harbor a slight loathing or disgust for our culture, but what really matters is how they react to our hundred billion dollar defense industry. A happy minor partner is more willing to front money and occupational support while opening up their borders for airspace and transport.

That aspect has been lacking in the last 6 years.

Yet at the same time, they are voracious consumers of that culture.

I care very little how other countries view the US, as long as they trade with us and don't attack us. Call it laissez-faire foreign policy.

France and I think Germany just elected pro-American heads of state.

These leaders made a point of building a stronger relationship with the US.
